Jeevann is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe.

1. Information We Collect

When you register or place an order on Jeevann, we collect the following information:

Mobile number — used for OTP-based login and order notifications via WhatsApp.

Shop name & owner name — to identify your business on orders and invoices.

Email address — optional; used for billing and support correspondence.

Delivery address — shop address, area, city, state, and pincode required to fulfil orders.

GST number — optional; collected if you wish to receive GST invoices.

Order history — products ordered, quantities, and transaction amounts.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Jeevann platform:

Order fulfilment — your address and contact details are shared with our dispatch team so we can deliver your orders.

OTP verification — your mobile number is used to send one-time passwords via WhatsApp for secure login.

Order updates — we may notify you via WhatsApp when your order is confirmed, dispatched, or delivered.

Account management — to let you view past orders, update your profile, and manage addresses.

Platform improvement — aggregated, anonymous usage data helps us improve product listings and delivery performance.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

WhatsApp / Meta — your mobile number is used to deliver OTPs and order notifications through the WhatsApp Business API. Meta's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy.

Cloudinary — product and category images are stored on Cloudinary's CDN. No personal data is stored there.

Railway (Database hosting) — your data is stored on a hosted PostgreSQL database with restricted access.

Legal obligations — we may disclose information if required by law or a valid government request.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active.

If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal identifiers within 30 days. Order records may be retained in anonymised form for accounting and legal compliance.

OTP codes are automatically invalidated after 10 minutes and deleted from our database after use.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data:

Passwords are never stored — login is OTP-only via WhatsApp.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS / TLS.

Access to the database is restricted to authorised personnel.

Admin access requires a separate password-protected account.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information to the best of our ability.

6. Your Rights

As a user of Jeevann, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction — update your shop name, address, email, or GST number from your profile page.

Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.

Opt-out — if you no longer wish to receive WhatsApp notifications from us, contact our support team.

7. Cookies

Jeevann uses a small number of essential cookies and browser storage:

Auth tokens — a JWT token is stored as a cookie to keep you logged in across sessions. This is strictly necessary for the platform to function.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts that send data to third parties.

8. Children's Privacy

Jeevann is a B2B platform intended for registered business owners. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our platform, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For significant changes, we will notify you via WhatsApp or through a notice on the website.
